Module 3

This project focused on testing, iterating, and refining an interactive prototype through weekly activities and a final physical digital build. Using low fidelity prototyping, UX testing, and physical computing tools, the project explored how input and output systems work together to create meaningful user interactions. The final result combines software, hardware, and interaction design into one integrated experience.

Workshop 1

Activity 1: Math Based Animation

I tried connecting my main power wires to my maxtrix portal board but found out later it was not supplying enough energy <a href='https://www.youtube.com/embed/tgbNymZ7vqY' target='_blank'><p>Project Video Link</p></a> Ended up going back to having the matrix portal in to board and using an exteral plug as my power sourse (I did not have enough amp on my block but over came later) <div class='container'><iframe class='responsive-iframe' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/tgbNymZ7vqY'></iframe></div> Went into my first activity and added new items and then added more componants to make the camera resond when connected to the eternal code We can see here that the graphs are responding when movement is happening in the camers Tested a already made code to make sure that the LED board was working this is where i figured out i did not have enough amp on my block but if i hold my finger over a certin part of the matrix portal it will show over the full board for a short period of time

Activity 2: Interaction / Connection

Needed to download different softwear to the ardiuno ide since the maxtrix portal M4 was nto already downloaded working through the errors needing to debug since the camera interaction was not working at this time I ended up changing the code from the chopexec1 since the previous code was just sitting there and not calling to anything specifically Testing the different speeds that the code can run and how it effects the led output THe first interaction code that worked with my touchdesigner code the circle moves when movement is caught by the camera

Project 2


Project 3 Final Prototype

This project connects camera based motion detection in TouchDesigner to an Arduino controlled LED matrix to create a responsive light display. The visuals shift and animate based on how much movement is happening in front of the camera.
